Lori L. Johnson, MAI, is a shareholder and senior staff appraiser with Great Plains Appraisal, Inc. Ms. Johnson is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in the states of Nebraska and Iowa and currently holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute, a professional designation held by over 1,000 professional appraisers world-wide, but less than 25 located in the State of Nebraska. Lori holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Doane Collage where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude distinction.
Ms. Johnson joined the firm in 2003 and has been active in the appraisal of commercial, industrial, special-purpose, multi-family, and affordable housing properties in Lincoln and the southeast Nebraska area, as well as skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living and independent living facilities throughout the states of both Nebraska and Iowa.
Ms. Johnson assists the Lancaster County Board of Equalization in the capacity of Referee Coordinator and also serves as a Referee through this process.
Ms. Johnson served on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Chapter of the Appraisal Institute from 2009-2012, and also served as Treasurer for this organization in 2016. Ms. Johnson was also the Vice President and Region II Representative for Nebraska in 2017.
Ms. Johnson served as the President for the Nebraska Chapter of the Appraisal Institute from 2018-2019 and Immediate Past President for 2020-2021. She also currently serves as the Appraiser from the private sector on the Rent-Restricted Housing Projects Valuation Committee for the State of Nebraska.
Ms. Johnson became a shareholder with Great Plains Appraisal Inc. in 2015 and currently serves as Secretary for the firm.
