Jason Pickerel, MAI, is a shareholder and senior staff appraiser with Great Plains Appraisal, Inc. Mr. Pickerel is a Certified General Real Property Appraiser in the state of Nebraska and currently holds the MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute, a professional designation held by over 1,000 professional appraisers world-wide, but less than 25 located in the State of Nebraska. Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Mr. Pickerel joined the firm in 2010 and has been active in the appraisal of commercial, industrial, special-purpose, and multi-family properties in Lincoln and the southeast Nebraska area.
Mr. Pickerel assists the Lancaster County Board of Equalization in the capacity of Referee Coordinator and also serves as a Referee through this process.
Mr. Pickerel served on the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Chapter of the Appraisal Institute from 2015-2016, served as Treasurer for this organization throughout 2017 and also served as the Vice President and Region II Representative for Nebraska for 2018-2019. Mr. Pickerel currently serves as the President for 2020-2021.
Mr. Pickerel became a shareholder with Great Plains Appraisal Inc. in 2017 and currently serves as Treasurer for the firm.
